Colorium cuts a photograph into thousands of zones, and you give them back one at a time. What appears under the pencil is not a flat colour: it is the GRADIENT of the original image, with its shades and its light. Twenty pencils are therefore enough for a watercolour, a harbour at sunset or a red fox.
In free painting, you lay colour wherever you like. In spreading mode, the app opens the first zone and you move outward step by step, like a tide. In applied mode, every zone carries its number and you must find the right pencil. The same drawing never plays the same way twice.
No sign-up, no Google login, no password. Open it and paint. Your paintings stay on your device.
Once the drawings are downloaded, the app does without the network. A session started on a train picks up exactly where it stopped.
Ink, bloom, tide, stained glass, stroke, dust, fade — one animation is drawn at random per session and kept to the end of the image.
